¶ Overview
The Slowmode module allows you to make Dyno remove messages from your server if they are sent in a short span of time or utilize Discord’s channel slowmode.

- Make sure Dyno has the following permissions in your linked text channel(s):

¶ How to set up Slowmode
- Head over to your account and select your server.
- Click on the
Modulestab. - Ensure the
Slowmodemodule is enabled. - Click the
Settingsbutton underneath the Slowmode module. - For the
Channeloption, select the channel you want to apply slowmode to. - For the
Select rate limit (seconds)option, type the slowmode rate. - Select
Channel SlowmodeorUser Slowmode, and then selectAdd.
¶ Types of Slowmode
- Channel Slowmode means that the timer applies to all users, even if they haven’t sent a message yet. This has a max time of
2880seconds (48 minutes). - User Slowmode means that the timer applies to each user individually. This has a max time of
2880seconds (48 minutes). - Discord Slowmode activates the native Discord slowmode, which is similar to User Slowmode but it works through the Discord app to prevent messages violating the slowmode from being sent, whereas Dyno slowmode (user & channel) will delete any messages that violate the slowmode. This has a max time of
21600seconds (6 hours).

These commands will not work if the Slowmode module is disabled.
¶ Troubleshooting Steps
- Make sure Dyno has the permissions specified here.
- Dyno slowmode works by deleting messages, it does not prevent messages from sending like Discord’s built-in slowmode. It will not delete the messages of server moderators, admins or the server owner.
User Slowmodedeletes the messages of a single user if they type over the interval.Channel Slowmodedeletes the messages of all users collectively in the channel, so that only 1 person can type per the interval. - If you would like to use Discord’s built-in slowmode, you can use the
discordsubcommand. For example:?slowmode discord #channel 2swill activate Discord slowmode in the channel at 2 seconds.
