The Autoresponder module allows you to make Dyno respond to a users message with either a message or reaction(s)! Once a user sends a message which triggers your Autoresponse, Dyno will send a new message or add reactions to the users message, depending on which option you enabled.
Permissions Check:
- Make sure Dyno has the following permissions in all channels:
View Channel
Send Messages
Embed Links
Add Reactions
Limits to keep in mind:
- Non-Premium servers can have a max of 10 autoresponders.

{user}
- The user calling the command. For example, Hello {user}!
{avatar}
- The avatar of the user. Eg: Have a look at {username} avatar! {avatar}
{username}
- The username of the user. Eg: Hello {username}!
{server}
- The server’s name{channel}
- The channel’s name{@user}
- Mention a user by their username, replace “user” with their username. For example, {@Nooblance}
{&role}
- Mention a role by name, replace “role” with the role name. For example, {&Gamers}, We're streaming now!
{#channel}
- A channel link, replace “channel” with the name of the channel you want to link. For example, Use {#testing} for all bot testing
{everyone}
- Mentions @everyone{here}
- Mentions @hereIf you’re looking to add custom emojis to your message follow this guide! Just keep in mind Dyno needs to be in the server where that emoji is from.
Please keep in mind that Dyno will mention roles, but will not ping them currently due to the feature being disabled. This functionality will be added back in the future however.
Please note:
- The
{@user}
variable does not mention the user who called the command, please use{user}
for that.- For Auto Responder, users with
Server Manager
orAdministrator
permissions do not bypass additional permissions.- You can tick the “Wildcard” option if you want to catch the trigger anywhere in a sentence.
- To make Dyno respond when a user, role, or channel is mentioned, you can use the ID. For more info on how to use IDs, visit this page.
- If you would like Dyno to respond to everything inside of a channel, you can add a response with the name set to
{*}
(brackets included).
If you are using the
{*}
response, please make sure that it is the last response in your list. Due to how the Autoresponder module works, it will go through your Autoresponse list one by one, and when it finds the{*}
response first but then finds that it is not able to respond to the triggering message (due to Ignored Channels/Roles), it won’t respond at all, which could potentially break any other responses that you have set up.
?diagnose autoresponder
command and make sure the module is enabled. If it is not, run ?module autoresponder
or enable it on the dashboard.Wildcard
option is enabled. Otherwise, Dyno will only respond if the trigger is the only content in the message..png
